Overall goal:

1. Cultivating Creativity and Imagination: Developing musical ideas and mastering compositional skills, combined with performance and listening, to foster creativity and imagination.

2. Developing musical skills and processes: Developing performance techniques to experience and express music, and emphasizing the cultivation of musical imagination and musicality in the process of practice.

3. Develop the ability to appreciate music: understand music and respond to and appreciate it to cultivate aesthetic ability.

4. Understanding the context of music: recognizing the function of music and understanding the relationship between music and culture.

course:

1. Starting in second grade, the "one student, one instrument" program will be implemented: learning the shepherd's flute.

1.1 In the music curriculum from Grade 2 to Grade 6, our school arranges grade-level shepherd's flute instruction. Through playing the shepherd's flute, students can enjoy the fun of learning the shepherd's flute, and it also provides more opportunities for performance and enhances their self-confidence.

1.2 In addition to teaching the shepherd's flute, students can perform their instruments during the monthly "Five Minutes of Music" session and share the joy of learning music with their classmates.

2. Interdisciplinary activities:

2.1 Collaborating with the Visual Arts Department on "Sound Sense Activities": The Music Department analyzes the artistic conception of selected music with students, while the Visual Arts Department teaches students to express their understanding of the music through different drawing techniques.

3. Unit teaching: In line with the unit features of the textbook, students are systematically taught to learn the elements of music.

Activity:

1. Choir: To serve the Lord with the gift of singing given by the Father.

2. Musical Instrument Class: Students learn different musical instruments to praise the Lord.

3. Musical Theatre Training: Training students by combining elements of music, English, and drama.
