In terms of Chinese:

  • We promote "teaching Chinese in Mandarin," "unit-based teaching," and "group reading" to enhance students' ability to appreciate articles, read, and write.
  • In lower grades, picture and text diaries are promoted, starting with communication and expression training, and then strengthening students' writing skills.
  • In middle and upper grades, feedback-based writing is implemented. Through teacher suggestions and questions, students' logical thinking and reflective abilities are trained, making their writing more in-depth and richer in content. A school-based textbook, "Vocabulary Treasury," is printed according to grade and unit for students to use in writing and self-study, increasing vocabulary and good phrases, and optimizing the content of their writing.
  • Starting from the 2009-2010 academic year, half of the classes began teaching Chinese in Mandarin, and this practice was gradually extended to the sixth grade.



In terms of English:

  • All classes in the English classroom are taught in English.
  • The Primary Literacy and Writing Program (PLPR/W) is implemented in grades one through three. Through sharing reading teaching methods, language experience learning activities, and diverse language learning activities, the course is made more vivid and interesting, and students can more easily grasp the knowledge they learn and learn to read and write more effectively.
  • The school-based writing program is implemented in the upper grades to improve students' English writing skills.
  • The "Read Write Inc." phonics course is implemented in grades one and two, which allows students to systematically master the correct pronunciation of the 44 original English sounds, the skills of combining and breaking down original sounds, and apply the above knowledge and skills to reading and writing within two years.
