This year, our school's teacher professional development continued to align with one of our three-year development goals: developing and optimizing gifted education. To help teachers understand the basic concepts of promoting gifted education and enhance their awareness, all teachers completed the online course on gifted education offered by the "Gifted Education Academy" last year. All newly hired teachers also completed this course this year, giving them a clear understanding of the school's development direction. In addition, all teachers participated in workshops organized by the Education Bureau's Gifted Education Division, enabling them to grasp the concepts and implementation strategies related to gifted education. Furthermore, our General Studies Department continued to participate in the Gifted Education Division's General Studies Network Project, observing and exchanging ideas with other schools. Participating teachers shared their learning with our own teachers, giving everyone greater confidence in promoting gifted education. From classroom teaching and student worksheet design to questioning during class, teachers increasingly employed gifted strategies, such as the thirteen higher-order thinking skills, and their skills are becoming increasingly refined. Next year, our school will continue to focus on gifted education as a development goal. In addition, to give teachers a basic understanding of e-learning, all teachers were arranged to visit other schools to observe e-learning teaching, in preparation for the future development of e-learning in the school.

Our school's Year 1 English class participated in the "Promoting Community Practice to Optimize Small Class Teaching" support scheme, jointly organized by the Education Bureau and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, while the Year 2 Mathematics class participated in the Education Bureau's "Mainland and Hong Kong Teacher Exchange and Collaboration Scheme." Participating teachers and representatives from participating organizations held regular meetings, opened their classrooms periodically, and collaborated on lesson planning. All participating teachers agreed that participation in these schemes greatly benefited their teaching.

This year, our school invited teachers from Jiangxi Wenqing Experimental Primary School to visit. Following an open English class, everyone engaged in a sincere exchange. The visiting teachers expressed their appreciation for the strengths of our teachers' teaching and shared the unique features and teaching experiences of their school-based curriculum. This exchange between friendly schools has been very beneficial to everyone.

Other professional development activities, such as collaborative lesson planning, mutual observation and exchange, regular professional development, and sharing of teaching experiences, continued. The average professional development hours for teachers this year was 67 hours.
