To boost students' self-confidence and cultivate sound values, our school has been hosting a large-scale English musical annually since the 2007/08 academic year. This event is not only a highlight of our gifted education program but also a stage to showcase students' potential. Each year, nearly one hundred students from Primary 1 to Primary 6 participate in this wonderful performance, with each student dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to dance practice, memorizing English lines and lyrics, and integrating facial expressions and movements.

Throughout this process, the school provided professional guidance, enabling students not only to hone their performance skills but also to understand the importance of taking responsibility for their roles and to learn perseverance and a sense of duty. The students demonstrated a strong sense of commitment, and their stage performances, born from continuous diligent practice and preparation, were the best testament to these efforts. Furthermore, we emphasized the importance of unity and respect for others, because the success of a musical is not only an individual achievement but also the result of teamwork.

Furthermore, students learn more English vocabulary and grammar from the English lines and lyrics, thereby improving their English proficiency. Musicals combine singing, dancing, and acting skills, allowing students to discover their potential unconsciously and shine on stage.

Currently, English musical theatre is one of our school's regular gifted education programs. Through this program, we hope to comprehensively enhance students' self-confidence and English proficiency, and cultivate sound values.

Note: The English musical was cancelled due to the swine flu in 2009 and school closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
