Competition News - 2024-2025 Basic Law Q&A Competition
The 2024-2025 Basic Law Q&A Competition will be held at the end of October this year by the local community subgroup of the Working Group on the Constitution, Basic Law and Hong Kong National Security Law under the Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau, the Civic Education Committee and the Steering Committee for the Promotion of the Constitution and Basic Law. The competition aims to enhance participants' understanding of the relationship between the Constitution and the Basic Law, the Basic Law and its history, and the maintenance of national security.
The competition is divided into four categories: Parent-Child, Junior High, Secondary, and Open. Participants can log on to the competition website https://www.cpce.gov.hk/basiclaw2024-25/ to answer 20 questions and submit their application. The preliminary round deadline is December 31, 2024. Participants who complete the preliminary round and successfully submit their application will have a chance to receive a 2025 Civic Education Calendar by mail, while supplies last. After the preliminary round deadline, the organizers will draw lots to invite the participants who answered the most questions correctly in each category to attend the final and awards ceremony, tentatively scheduled for April 2025. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the final round and win great prizes.
